Theo of Golden is a 2023 novel by Allen Levi about a mysterious, elderly man named Theo who arrives in the small Southern city of Golden, Georgia, and anonymously performs acts of profound kindness, most notably by buying portraits from a coffeehouse wall and returning them to the subjects in exchange for their life stories, which changes the lives of the town's residents. The book explores themes of generosity, connection, and seeing the divine in others. We will come together for a meal and a time of discussion.
