A NOTE FROM PASTOR MADELINE

The Holidays are Coming!

I am out of town this week at a seminar being hosted by the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. The conference is called "Unfurled; Daring to Chart New Waters.” Rumor has it that we will be having dinner on a pirate ship on Friday night. I'm pretty excited for that! Aargh...! Don't worry, I'll be back on Sunday to fill you in on all the amazing things I will be learning! Oh… and please pray for me because it's supposed to be 35 degrees in Sanford, FL (where the conference is being held) on Tuesday! I guess I better break out my closed toed shoes… the one pair I own!

I am traveling from Miami to Orlando on the Brightline train. I'm pretty excited to check it out. I've heard great things about it. While I'm on the train, I will be writing my sermon and keeping up to date on other work that needs to be done this week. Advent is right around the corner and we are super busy preparing for all the amazing events and worship we have planned. So, no rest for the weary!

I really don't have any great big message for you this week, other than this story of my upcoming travels. I hope you are all getting excited about the upcoming holidays - Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas! It really is my favorite time of the year!

Be sure to check out our listing of all of our Advent activities and events in this email. Be sure to get all the dates on your calendars. You won't want miss any of it!

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10-11)

Blessings
